Small, scampering spider
Eight-legged freak of the night
Crafting a web up in the trees
Giving the meek girls a fright
Catches a mosquito in its nest
Ready to chew on it 'till he needs rest
Gives it a deathblow to save us from itch
Nutritious the insect's corpse, oh so rich
So here's to you oh savior spider
I raise up my glass of cider
Your white web offers protection
No man can raise an objection |
