Iron Maiden Concert 10/13/06
Saturday, October 14, 2006
Wow, was it AMAZING!

I arrived at the concert 25 minutes before the doors opened. My friend Kamil was close to the beginning of the line so my brother and I joined up with him. He had VIP tickets, so he was up in front of the stage and to the right. I was in the General Audience area, which is basically the halfway point of the show floor. I was at the center right in front of the barricade that separates General Audience from VIP, so I got a good view.

The opening band "Bullet For My Valentine" put on a good show even though I really wasn't digging their music. Many of the songs sounded rather similar to me. The fact of the matter was that everybody in the crowd wanted to hear their favorite band, not them.

So Iron Maiden came on at 9:15PM and it was incredible! Everything was great about the show.

Way too many fans complained about Iron Maiden's setlist though. I love their new album so I had no problems. My favorite A Matter of Life and Death songs are Different World, The Pilgrim, The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg, For the Greater Good of God, and The Legacy. Fear of the Dark, Iron Maiden, and Hallowed Be Thy Name were the classic highlights of the show.

A funny tidbit of the show concerns a guy who stood next to me. He was way too into the show. He was basically MOANING and SCREAMING and SHOUTING and whatnot. It was kind of..pathetic, but humorous. His antics made my brother and I laugh. Even the security guards were amused.

That's a funny description of the guy next to you. Maybe he thought Iron Maiden was a religion.
    :-)
"The Church of the Iron Maiden..." It's kind of catchy...
