Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
Wednesday, December 27, 2006
Heya. Chances are you're not reading this, at least not during break! But I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas and I wish everyone a Happy New Year. Christmas was pretty fun. My family opens presents on Christmas Eve (Polish Tradition) so we did so in the evening. T'was fun. On Christmas Day we had relatives and friends come over and had a big feast. Some of the things I received...

- Dream Theater "Scenes From a Memory" T-Shirt
- Versace Cologne (smells sooo good)
- $20 AMC Theatres Gift Card from one of my CCD students
- $5 Barnes & Noble Gift Card from one of my CCD students (Hey, maybe I'll put it towards One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest)
- 3 Wii Accessories from my Brother, and a Wii accessory from my friend Andrew
- Headset/Headphones
- Various Clothes, Jammies, Bed Covers, etc.
- That Which Makes the World Go 'Round ($$$, lots of it)
- Other Stuff that escapes my mind

I was more excited about giving my family and my friends the presents I got for them, really. But besides all the presents, what I really want is to be with my friends as much as possible over the break. It really blows when school comes around and a few friends go back to college and my other friends get gi-normous schedules (yes, Gi-Normous).

Hmm, what else to add? Oh! Well, I made it into South's play (The Mystery of Edwin Drood). I'm excited, I'm happy, I'm also incredibly surprised that I got a speaking role, even if it's merely a minor character named Horace. I've never been up on stage, so it's a great feeling. I'm also in Chorus which I'm delighted to be in as well. Horace and Chorus. Roflwofl!

Scenario-Writing: Dr. Sinis Ter
Thursday, December 14, 2006

Exposition: Dr. Sinis Ter, a notorious villain who lives in the year 2058, sits in his office in his large laboratory. He is toying around with a large computer panel he has recently installed. He then sits down with his cat, Sir Cuddles III and talks to him as he pets him. He talks of how he has lost faith in his Advisor, Melvin Newton, who does not do anything correctly. An idea comes to his head and he touches a button on the panel. He tells his secretary, Secretary McGooglingloggen, to send in Melvin. A nervous Melvin reports to the Secretary’s desk, where they exchange a couple of words before Melvin reluctantly heads into Dr. Sinis Ter’s office.

Conflict: Dr. Sinis Ter talks pompously to his Advisor, who is so nervous that he’s sweating profusely and begins shaking. Dr. Sinis Ter talks of how Melvin gets everything wrong, how he fails to do his laundry correctly in addition to how he incorrectly grooms his cat, how his coffee is always cold, and how he let his arch-nemesis, Captain Phat, escape his prison.

Climax: Melvin gets onto his knees and begs for forgiveness. He promises to be a better advisor and pleads with Dr. Sinis Ter not to place him into the death machine he had created a year ago, the Grinder-O’Matic 5000. He also proceeds to call him the most vile villain on the planet.

Resolution: Dr. Sinis Ter appears to be impressed by Melvin’s flattery and dismisses him. Melvin repeatedly bows before leaving. Dr. Sinis Ter then smiles evilly and calls his secretary again, letting her know that he wants Melvin executed via the Grinder-O’Matic 5000.

The Name's Bond, James Bond.
Saturday, December 09, 2006
I saw the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale, this past Monday and I'm totally back into James Bond again. This Bond movie is, in my opinion, the best Bond film since Goldeneye. Daniel Craig makes an excellent Bond. I had my doubts but I was proved wrong. He's a great actor. Casino Royale is based on the first Bond novel by Ian Fleming, so this movie is basically a "Bond Revival" like how Batman Begins is a "Batman Revival." The theme song for the movie, "You Know My Name" by Chris Cornell (of Soundgarden and Audioslave fame) really captivated me. It's an incredibly catchy song and I absolutely love singing and humming it. It's been in my head for the past week now.

"You Know My Name" by Chris Cornell
If you take a life do you know what you'll give?
Odds are, you won't like what it is
When the storm arrives, would you be seen with me?
By the merciless eyes of deceit?

I've seen angels fall from blinding heights
But you yourself are nothing so divine
Just next in line

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die?

The coldest blood runs through my veins
You know my name

If you come inside things will not be the same
When you return to the night
And if you think you've won
You never saw me change
The game that we all been playing

I've seen diamonds cut through harder men
Than you yourself
But if you must pretend
You may meet your end

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die?

The coldest blood runs through my veins

Try to hide your hand
Forget how to feel
Forget how to feel

Life is gone with just a spin of the wheel
Spin of the wheel

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die?

The coldest blood runs through my veins
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
